Directions to Hotel Flora in Venice

I'll be staying at this hotel with friends in April. The directions given by the hotel are fairly vague. Can anyone help with more specific directions? We will be coming from the train station and know to take the #1 vaporetto to the Vallaresso stop. Then what??? Thanks for any help.

Hi.

When you leave the taxi, walk perpendicular to (away from) the water towards Via XXII Marzo. You will find a roadsign in the middle of this street (there is a Bulgari jewelry shop). Turn left into Calle Bergamaschi and you will see the hotel at the end of this street (San Marco 2283/A). From the waterbus stop the hotel is probably no more than 100 yards. You will walk down a very narrow alleyway to the hotel entrance.

Their website provides a bit of a map:

www.venice-hotel.hotelflora.it

(Ask for a view of the garden.)

You're welcome.

I would state it this way: From the water, walk up Calle Vallaresso. It only goes in one direction, you will pass the Monaco Hotel and Harry's Bar.
Turn left when you reach the San Moise church which will be on your left. If you keep walking straight and see that instead of Vallaresso you are now on Frezzeria, you've walked a few steps too far and should have turned left just before the street name changes. Cross the small bridge over the small canal onto (wider) Calle Larga XXII Marzo, and keep to your left, you will find a hanging sign a bit high up indicating the Flora's alleyway entrance.

Thank you Pilchard and Elaine. I'll be embarrassed if I can't find it now with such easy directions.
