Directions to Hertz in Orvieto?

Could anyone please give me directions from Montepulciano to the Hertz car rental station in Orvieto? I keep on getting directions to go north of Montepulciano to get on A1 (which could be correct - I just want to be sure) and I can't seem to get directions in English. We are going tomorrow morning and need to get there by the time it closes around noon. I'm not sure why I am having so much trouble with this! Thanks in advance.

I would think that the most direct route would be Montepulciano to Chiusi and catching the A1 there.

How's the trip going?

Yes, get to A-1, but not at Chiusi, and exit at Orvieto. Stay right on the main road in Orvieto Scalo[ the lower town] and follow directions to the Stazione---the Hertz office is right behind it. You can print a good local map at Goggle maps given the office address, which is on your voucher.
We just did this drive in May--takes about 1:20 The station is the key.

Thanks guys - I knew I could count on you!

The trip is awesome. Switzerland had great weather so we got in our hikes and activities, Lucca was quaint and we rented bikes and got to Pisa. Right now we are in the Palazzo Carletti in Montepulciano and are just back from dinner at the Osteria Acquechetta. Fantastic! This hotel is the coolest place we have ever been in. Hi tech and ceiling a la Michelangelo.

We stayed at the Trattoria Fregoli for the past 3 nights - after Lucca - and it was absolutely lovely. Gorgeous rooms, great homemade breakfast tarts, beautiful views. Bob, it was less than 5 minutes from the Fonte Bertusi so we stopped by and the owner was so nice to give us a detailed tour. Nice place too.. We bought some homemade olive oil before leaving Fregoli today. We ate dinners in Pienza, went to St Antimo and just enjoyed driving through the countryside.

Trip report coming once I get home!

Thanks for that map Bob. It was perfect to get us there.

When people said the Duomo was worth seeing, that didn't begin to cover it! How magnificent!
