Directions for leaving Orly in rental car

Greetings--can someone pls describe the in airport route to leave Orly airport going south (to Amboise). A friend who does not speak French is concerned about where to pick up rental car and how clear it is to follow the way out. Many thanks for your help.

Use the map function in Google, type in Aeroport de Paris - Orly, you will get the starting point. Click on directions and add Amboise, France in the box, and you will have directions to Amboise.

Being concerned about where to pick up the car is odd... there are always signs in an airport pointing you to the car rentals desks and info booths even if a person does get confused.

In addition to scoping things out in advance with Google have your friend get a decent map (or road atlas would be better) and a GPS that can be programmed in advance.

The roads are clearly marked.

Look for the signs to A6 which runs along side of Orly. Take it southbound, it will split eventually as you will want A10 to Amboise.

For driving assistance on French roads, I use the following:

www.mappy.fr
www.viamichelin.fr

(You can also use the *.com form of these websites).

MANY THANKS TO ALL. I had already printed out the directions but wanted to be sure there was no confusion.
