Direct flight from Santorini to Rhodes ??

Is there a direct flight between these two islands, april 04. My travel agent says no, has to go thru Athens which stuffs up a day ! If it is the case what about a direct ferry ? Your valued advice would be appreciated.

At this time there is no direct flight from Santorini to Rhodes scheduled for April 4, 2004. April 4 is a Sunday, and the timetable for Olympic Airways indicates that there is a flight on Sunday, but the airlines don't publish their timetables so far in advance. Check again when it's closer to your departure date, sometime after the first of January.

There is no ferry to Rhodes from Santorini. The best you can do is from Santorini to Crete then another ferry from Crete to Rhodes. The ferry schedule for April 2004 is also not yet available, but you can be sure it will most likely mean spending a night on Crete and changing your departure date since the current schedule does not show a Sunday departure from Crete to Rhodes. Also, the ferry timetables will change between now and then, so any ferry information you can gather now will not be current next April.

Get to Milos and the Vitzentsos Kournaros runs via Crete (Ag Nik, Sitia) to Rhodes 3x/week.Thur,Fri,Sun(23:55). This is not reliant on tourists so seems to be all year. Getting from Santorini to Milos could be difficult out of hi season, also Santorini to Crete. Just relax and take your time, there are are some very attractive islands on the way.

No timetables for April 2004 are available, it's too early. Check with Olympic Airways after the first of the year.

Maybe things have changed in the past two years, but I could find no flights direct from Rhodes to Santorini, even in June. Although Olympic listed flights that way, I still found out they all went through Athens. I nearly booked one until I realized the times seemed very long, and discovered it was in two segments.

Hi,
Two years ago we flew direct from
Santorini to Rhodes. We were there at the end of June. I think it was on Agean Air. Try again in Feb. or so and see if there is a flight available.

For Patrick

The flights listed for October 2003 to and from Santorini/Rhodes are direct flights that take 50 minutes. They definitely do not connect in Athens.

Yes, Olympic. Did you see the link I left you to their website in my answer to your question about April 7th?
