I am guessing that we all have to wait till it hits the highest german judiciary in Karlsruhe. There's an expert professor from Bremen university who offerred his two cents saying that the GDL will have likely win its right to strike in that highest federal court. So these local state injunctions don't really count.

Well, I see no reason, yet, to alter my car rental contract. I know if I have a car in Munich, I can drive to my destination. I am not sure I want to play GDL Roulette and hope that if the locomotive drivers actually go on strike, they will pick some place else other than Munich on the morning I need to get out of town.
Last time, they struck Munich about the time I would have been leaving!!!

We, too, will be renting an automobile instead of taking trains in Germany when we visit in September. We will, however, be taking an Austrian train from Zurich to Salzburg that travels from Kufstein, DE to Salzburg. Does anyone have a guess or knowledge as to whether there would be any problem for that portion of our trip should there be a strike? Thanks.
