Did anyone else see the Marlene Dietrich exhibit in Paris?
While on a trip to Paris in October my husband and I went to the Musee Gallieri to see the Marlene Dietrich exhibit; it was fabulous. When MD died she had more than 3000 items of clothing and more than 1000 accessories, all catalogued. This exhibit was put together by her daughter and took up 3 rooms. One room was clothing from her film career, the second was from when she was about 50-ish and could no longer play the femme fatale so put together a cabaret act. The 3rd room was a spectacular white coat with a long train. Also interspersed throughout the exhibit were photos from both her personal and public lives as well as film clips and music. Altogether a fabulous way to spend a couple of hours. We bought a poster in the gift shop and have had it mounted. Just wondered if anyone else had gone and what you thought.

I am going to be in Paris 12/15-12/21. Will the exibit still be running at that time? Also I have heard that there is an exibit running in tribute to Edith Piaf at the Hotel de Ville. I plan to see that next month. Has anyone seen that one yet?

just in case baker does not see this, that is the city of Paris Fashion Museum. It's in-between the Iena and Alma Marceau metro stops in the 16th arr. That exhibit ends Dec. 14th, unfortunately. Here is their web site:
