Dicken's London...
Any advice for places of interest in London for a born-again Dickens fan? Last year I stumbled upon The Olde Curiosity Shop, which got me to thinking and, when I returned home, to reading...How much of Dicken's London is left? I know of the house in Bloomsbury and that every other pub claims that Chas. was a regular, but do you know of specific sites or areas? Thanks...

Have a look at the London Walks website
http://www.walks.com/
They do Shakespeare's and Dickens's London - The Old City
and there's an Old Bloomsbury literary Pub Walk

He's supposed to have drunk at the George Inn on Borough High Street (near London Bridge Tube station). Whether it's true or not, it's still a great old pub. One of London's oldest, and the only one still to have a galleried upper floor.
It's 1600s I think.

Take a look at this site, http://www.dickens-and-london.com/index.htm
Sue Gane used to lead a Dicken's walk (I took it in 2002), but apparently now just sells detailed walking guides.
Also, its not far to Rochester. A day trip there will get you lots of Dickens references.
