Destinations, Accomodation & Daily Budget

Three Questions:

1) How much should I budget for Accomodation, Food, Activity fees (entrace fees etc.)and Misc. while travelling through austria (Specifically excluding tickets, car rental and train tickets). Intend to have one good meal, assume breakfast included in room and one meal based on grocery shopping.

2) Need cheap , clean, centrally located (in case of scenic destination, located with nice view) for the following cities/towns in Austria.

- Vienna
- Salzburg
- Innsbruck and/or Hall
- Hallstatt
- Heiligenblut
- Any other scenic towns in Stubai or
Otztal valleys or any other breathtaking
towns with lots of mountian trekking
activity/close to major trekking trails

3) What are the best mountain trekking trails/areas in Austria for a 3-5 day trekking tour? any tour packages/package providers I should get in touch with?

Appreciate your help. Sikki

You need to obtain a good guidebook. Since you have so little information at this point you need more than can be provided here.

Is this for 1 person or 2? If you're traveling solo, you need to allow more for the accomodations part of the daily budget.

In the most general way - I'd allow $100 USD for hotel + $100 USD for everything else... per day/per person/ double occupancy.

As above, you need a guidebook. Those are three huge questions you posted.

Sikki, I apologize.

I see from your other posts that you are in Pakistan and can't find a guidebook for Austria.

Are you traveling solo?

We are planning on staying at Haus am Moos just outside of Salzburg, Austria.

It gets rave reviews both here and on www.tripadvisor.com

Inexpensive and breakfast is included too. Apparently the bus station is just down the street from the hotel and it is about a 10 minute ride intot he city center. The hotel is a mountain view too I think.

The initial lack of responses told me that i need to split my questions up and make them easier to answer.

I will rephrase my questions soon. Thanks for trying though. Sikki
