If you re-post this as "Souvenirs - Austria", you'll probably get more answers.

Depends what your budget is. We found some very pretty enamel jewelry in Salzburg at very modest prices.

Depends on what you like.....

In Salzburg I bought a bunch of the painted eggs (there is a wonderful shop in the pedestrian area), some lovely candles, a beer stein, a Swarovsky (sp?) crystal violin to remind us of Mozart, some beautiful table linens, and a little ceramic(?) version of Mozart's house.

In Vienna I bought another beer stein and several Christmas ornaments.

Personally, I liked the shopping better in Salzburg - thought there were more interesting/unusual things.
