der kliene Prinz Hotel,Baden Baden

has anyone stayed at this hotel in the past two years? We looked at the rooms four years ago, but didn't stay , because the rooms were rather shabby. I have heard that they renovated two years ago. Can anyone confirm this ? Did they renovate all of the rooms? Thanks for any help. Cheers, Al

Hi WhistlerAl, we're still planning to be in BaBa this week-end, although it depends on my husband's work schedule. If we get down there, we'll check out the hotel.

Sorry WhistlerAl, but my husband has to be in London on Friday and may be staying over til Saturday, so our week-end in Baden-Baden is being postponed til til May or June.
From looking it up on the web though, it seems charming (our taste is more contemporary, though) and has very good reviews, although it's close to the convention center which is not quite in the center of town...it's a bit of a walk (or short bus ride--fortunately buses are frequent).

thanks for your effort BT. I think we have decided to wander the romantic road for a bit before heading to the Alsace, so we'll just check out some hotels as we go. Cheers, Al

Hello,
I live just down the street from the hotle kliene Prinz. It is a nice place, but I would go for a hotel in the pedestrian zone. My parents like to stay at the Hotel Colmar. The rooms are nice, great customer service. Ask for a room with a balcony.
