Delta 777 to Paris-seating ?

any suggestions on seats (2) to request for flight from ATL-CDG? One seat must be a window--any rows better than others? I know that some exit rows are right next to the lavs. Thanks for your help.

Now we are reduced to picking seats on a dam airplance. MY MY MY. Take the seat they give you and hold your breath.

Go to:
www.seatguru.com
It will show you the best seats to pick.
Have a great flight!
Hey, Tommy, chill, when you fly as much as some people, a good seat is a life savior.

If your question is serious, you must certainly realize that you can ask the airline about the layout of its particular airplane. A two-way conversation with an airline rep is a lot better than sporadic info on this forum.

Or go to the website of the airline you are flying. Almost all have a map of seating on their fleet. Then call and ask for the seats that you have selected and hopefully they will be available. I always prefer to be as close to the front as possible.

kate,
Go to http://www.delta.com/travel/maps_guides/aircraft/index.jsp
where you can view specific seating based on aircraft.

With a ticket, you can also select/change your seats via their site.
hth,

For most airline seat maps go to <http://airtravel.about.com/cs/seatma...s12_airtravel>

All the above suggestions are true, but only WWW.SEATGURU.COM tells you all the pros and cons of each seat as you move the cursor over the particular seat. So far the website has 4 of the major US airlines, AA,UA,CO,DL. I believe that the observations about the seats are from interviews with business frequent flyers. It's really cool.

I'm 6'3" and flew the Delta 777 to London recently. I called early and was able to secure row 44 seat A & B and was very pleased with them. A poor man's business class seat. Nothing in front of you for 4-5 feet. Exit door to your left.

You overly dramatic histrionic personality disorder.

We aren't reduced to anything. If you don't like the post, ignore it, instead of getting yourself all worked up over nothing.

And remember, you don't own this site, Fodor's does.

I flew that ((**)*)*&)&()&(
Delta B777 both ways between CDG and ATL. Easily the third most miserable airplane I ever flew on. The only two worse were an unpressurized military transport and a Delta MD11 to Paris.

Seating was so tight that my left knee had to stick out into the aisle.
I lacked about 4 inches front to back of being able to pull my leg in straight. When the serving card came by, it was quite a feat to get my left leg swung over. I had to stand up, and resit with my legs intruding in the the space of the person beside me.
Virtually all of the seats were that way.

And, no, I am not that tall -- only 6 feet. There are plenty of guys out there 4 to 5 inches taller than I am.

There are some exit rows near the
galley in the middle, but these are usually given to airline employees or passengers who have paid unrestricted fares.

The seating is so bad on Delta flights that I will not fly Delta again unless there is a life threatening emergency.
