Message: Hi,
We stayed at a great B&B(Dei Mori) in Florence this past June. This B&B is centrally located with all the sites at our doorstep. Check their web site www.bnb.it/deimori. We loved it. This was the most expensive placed we stayed on our trip at appoximately $120.00 Canadian/night.

Message: Well, I was in Florence with my husband and we stayed at the Dei Mori http://www.bnb.it/deimori/dmrh.htm , which is a bed & breakfast type place. VERY clean and common rooms are nice, but the LOCATION is to die for. Worth every penny and I think it was around $80US, about two years ago. We usually stay in more plush hotels, but we would definately stay there again just for the location. The first night we shared a bath, the second we moved into a room with a private bath. I think I actually liked the shared bath better, because it was more spacious and I think we shared with only 2 other rooms. I notice that there are several other posts for Florence hotels around $150...

I stayed there for four nights this past September. The owners were very nice. The place was clean and inexpensive. You couldn't ask for a better location. It's right next door to the American Express office. I don't remember the bed standing out in my memory so it couldn't be too bad. The stairs I suppose were a little lenghthy, but I found that to be the case in many places in Europe. I'm young and I pack light so I don't know what you think killer stairs would be. Unless you are in poor health, I think you will be fine. I would definitely recommend this place for price and convenience.
