I am posting this again because my first one mysteriously disappeared. Can anyone tell me if we will find brewed decaf coffee in Ireland at breakfast? I realize you can't tell me about all places, but what have others run into? I love coffee with breakfast, but more than one cup of the caff makes me vibrate all day. If it is not available, I may bring some decaf bags or some instant decaf I find drinkable. Thanks for your help. I hope this one doesn't disappear also.

My experience with decaf was translated as Nescafe which is a taste I never got accustomed to. Relax with an herbal tea-bring your own sachet and they will be glad to provide you with hot water. I assume you are talking about bed and breakfast with the included meal and not a stand alone restaurant.

All coffee is very very strong, most restaurants don't serve with meal, they serve after breakfast or after dessert is served at dinner.

Just a follow-up. As expected, there was almost no brewed decaf in Ireland. I brought a small coffee drip that goes over a cup, filters and some ground decaf. Then all I needed was hot water. Easy for me and no problem for them. This meant I could have my many cups of coffee at breakfast and not vibrate all day.

You can find decaf coffee in plenty of places, but in B&Bs it will be mainly instant. I recently had a baby in Ireland, so I know of what I speak. I would always ask for a decaf latte or whatever, and it ws rare that I couldn't get it.

You are correct if you're talking abot coffee places. I was talking about B&b/small hotels in both Ireland and northern Ireland. Even the Radisson in Belfast didn't have brewed decaf ready -they would have needed 20 minutes notice and I forgot to ask them when I sat down. This was an easily solved problem, but only if you come prepared.
