De Bazaar Beverwijk - Is it worth a visit?

I was recently searching for ideas for day trips from Amsterdam, and stumbled upon De Bazaar Beverwijk. Since I enjoy perusing "flea markets" I thought this might make an interesting journey. Has anyone visited the Bazaar that can comment on their experience?

It looks like it would be a 40 minute train ride northwest of Amsterdam to Beverwijk, then Bus #59 or #76 to the Bazaar. The Bazaar, which is only open on Saturday and Sunday, is the largest covered market in Europe, with over 2500 stalls! It features the ‘Zwarte’ Markt (‘Black’ Market), the Oosterse Markt (Oriental Market), the Grand Bazaar, the Computermarkt, the Vlooienmarkt (Flea Market), and the Kofferbakmarkt (car boot sale). Surely I can find a tchotchke to bring home with me from my travels.

Any comments?

Sorry Robyn, I've never been. It has been on the list but I've never got around to it.
A dog walking friend goes sometimes, she always comes back with some "new" piece of furniture or another, but also moans about the place. She keeps going back though

Thanks for the info, Barbara. Right now a visit to the Bazaar is on our itinerary for the Saturday that we are in town (April 2011)... unless something else comes up.

Can any one else comment on the Bazaar?

I'm a bit surprised that Palenque hasn't ventured out to the bazaar tbh.

Yeah, I thought for sure Pal would comment on the Bazaar. But maybe I'll be the first to visit! If we go in April, I'll definitely report back on my experience.
