There are so many in the region. I've used these companies for work related travel and highly recommend them. There are many others as well. I guess send an email asking for a quote but they should all come in at around 300-350 euro for the day.

To see Vesuvius and Pompeii in a day from Rome we've done both private car from Rome and a very well organized tour from Rome. Both worked out to be most excellent days. Well worth the investment and expense. In my experience I suggest that planning to visit both in one day by public transport is a setup for failure.
In March you'll have limited day light. Professionals who arrange the tour direct from Rome to Vesuvius, break for lunch, then on to Pompeii, and return to Rome require 13 hours. This is with direct transportation.
Trying to do this trip by public transport etc. will easily add 2 to 3 hours.

Do these car services provide the same excursion starting in Naples?>
Not sure but would be shocked if they did not - check the Naples' tourist information web site or re-post with that in the title?

PalenQ - yes I said that these car service prices are from points out of Naples - the train station is the usual pickup point but if you're in a hotel, they pick up there and charge the same rate.
