Czech Airlines

Has anyone flown Czech Airlines? I am considering using the airline in May to visit Prague but am wary as to whether it is lacking in quality.

A few years ago I visited Greece using Olympic Airlines. It was my worst flying experience - rude service, no toilet paper, etc. A nonsmoking flight but the attendants smoked like fiends in the galley. Ran out of soft drinks! I have since been leery of lesser known airlines.

Any feedback appreciated.

I flew Czech Airlines to Prague in December 1999. I had no complaints; their service was no better or worse than any other major airline. I believe they now use Airbus 310-300 for cross-Atlantic flights. I will be flying Czech Air again in a few weeks to Moscow via Prague (now that they've partnered with Delta, I was able to purchase that ticket with my SkyMiles).

I've used Czech Air a few times and really couldn't fault them. They're one of the longest established airlines in Europe actually, if not THE oldest. Don't hesitate to use them.

Well, they certainly don't have a reputation for flying directly into office buildings. I wouldn't allow one less than great experience, and on another airline, deter me if I were you.

Hi
I've flown Czech Air twice and found it quite pleasant.

Czech Airlines gets a 3 star rating from "www.airlinequality.com" - same rating as American, Delta, Air France, etc.

I flew Czech Air for a short flight from Prague to Vienna earlier this year. They had great food on board and were very professional.

Lisa;
I'd forgotten about the food. As far as "airline dinners" go, these guys have the nicest we've come across. Admittedly we haven't flown Concorde but compared to any of the other regular airlines I've been on - Yummy

It is first rate. Very professional, pleasant service. Also, they show Czech films, which put American movies to shame. My friend was on board a CSA flight when a man had a medical emergency, and she said the crew was fabulous, professional, efficient, etc.
I have flown them about 10 times, and never had a complaint.

Did the Czech films have English subtitles? And thanks to everyone for your feedback.

I saw one 7 years ago that definitely had subtitles. I don't remember if each & every one does, but I suppose you could ask the airline. I don't always fly them across the ocean (take lots of flights within Europe on CSA), so I don't always get to see a movie!
