culinarily challenged hubby-need advise!
Trying to plan European trip for May 07, as I mentioned in my Germany post, DH loves every destination I have taken (drug)him to, and raves about them. But, he is not an adventurous diner, and I don't want him to eat tapas for two weeks. He also is not a super big fan of ham either, but will eat it, though again, not for two weeks. I am considering two weeks Spain, or Spain and Portugal. Any help???

I too had the same fisrt reaction : esspecially since - in my mind - tapas are not representative of spanish cooking !
Does he eat rice, semolina, tomatoes, eggplants, chicken, fish, seafood,... ?
Hmmm a good gaspacho, a paella, an almod cake !
Now you have me hungry.

I am sorry, but a couple of things pressed my buttons.

Both Spain and Portugal have other foods on offer, other than ham.
Are you travelling to Europe to eat, or for some other reason you have not yet mentioned?

when we were in Costa Rica in 1999, he ate a lot of chicken and rice, happily.
Just trying to vary his diet a bit for the 2 weeks, thats all. Of course we are making our plans for more than just merely meals, and without going into it again you can read my Germany post as well. My DH is a wonderful man, who wants to make me happy. Travel makes me happy. He Loves it when we are at our destination. I want him to enjoy the ride. Any suggestions??
