Critique my honeymoon Itenerary

Fly into Budapest 3 nights
Fly to venice 3 nights
train to Florence 3 nights
train to Cinque terre 4 nights
Train to Rome 4 nights and fly home.
We are hoping to find accomendations for between 100-120 euros. We have budapest and florence hotels booked. If anyone has any other recomended hotels for the other cities it would be much appreciated. If you were going to splurge on hotels in one city what would it be? Is 4 days to much in cinque terre. We added day because we thought this would be the only place with a beach on our trip. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Congratulations on your marriage.

I'd get bored with 4 days in Cinque Terre, but it's a matter of personal preference. In which months will you be traveling? Keep in mind that Venice has a beach. And most of the beaches in Cinque Terre are stoney--not broad, smooth sandy ones.

Have you looked at the dates of the Venice film festival. I believe it's usually early September - and hotel prices go through the roof - many people even having to stay in outlying towns it's so crowded.

(I did a meeting there that started right after the festival and my first night was the last of the festival. The hotel for that night was about 2.5 times as much as the other nights.)

Hi T,

I think that you have 1 (if not 2) too many nights in CT.

The Lido in Venice will be a much nicer beach than those on the CT.

How important is Budapest? You can greatly reduce your costs, and increase your enjoyement, by visiting only Italy.

Fly into Venice and out of Rome.

Can you move the honeymoon back 2 weeks? The Venice film festival is usually the last week of August/first of Sept.
