Credit Cards in gift shops

Do most of the gift shops (in Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, different museums, etc) take credit cards? I figure this is a no-brainer, but I have been to some in the states that it seems that they obviously would have taken credit cards that didn't. Thanks!

All the major tourist sites in London take credit cards in the gift shops. You can purchase tickets with a cc too.

In over 20 years of travling to Europe I've never seen a monument or tourist sight gift shop that didn't take credit cards. I'm not saying there isn't one somehwere - but I can't imagine it would do much business.

you are both right nytraveler and obxgirl - of course they do. (sam453 has been posting these sort of misleading things all day)
