I responded to this post almost a year ago, prior to our trip to Costa Rica (which was awesome), and now I have two exciting trips to countdown to! I leave for Bangkok and Tokyo two weeks from tomorrow, and then we head off to Greece and Turkey on May 1. Woohoo!!

43 more days to go - for my italian sojourn!!
am i prepared?? you bet. reading up a lot on Italy in my spare time - plus a lonely planets guidebook gifted to me by my hubby on our anniversary is serving it's purpose well.
hotel bookings done. itinerary in place.
first time in italy - and i m excited about everything.
we are covering rome, sorrento (amalfi coast & pompeii & vesuvius as day trips), florence (with pisa, san gimignano and cinque terra as day trips) and venice. there's a lot more to see - but all that is reserved for the next trip.
my countdown has surely started. yiiippppeeeeeee

Next Eurotrip:
June - Fly to Brussels, fly to Berlin, fly to Munich, rent a car (this time we're renting a big Mercedes instead of a small Opel) to Salzburg, Berchtsgaden, and Fussen, and then take the train to Zurich.
*I don't want to offend anyone (Ira?) but I can't seem to find enough interest in going back to Paris.
**I'll be following this board for tips in and around Zurich.

In May, we're traveling to Portugal--will be a whirlwind of a trip--though. 4 nights on the coast at Tony Muchaxo's inn (near Guincho). On one of the days, we will drive to Arraiolos to pick up a rug we're having made and buy wine in Borba. When we leave Tony Muchaxo's, we will make a quick trip to Porto to taste/buy Port. On the way back we'll stop at the Vista Alegre factory--last night will be in Sintra..
October is Le Seu d'Urgell for 4 nights (a terrific day of treatments at Caldea in Andorra!) and then a week at a winery in Provence. Can hardly wait for that trip!

157 Days until our first trip to Hawaii... Maui to be exact! Excited, want to spend a little time in Hana, but a little nervous about where to stay. Hoping to book a cottage soon. (I am typically better organized than I am this trip??) Have a condo in Kahana for 5 of our 9 nights. Looking forward to a helicopter tour. Family trip w/2 teenagers...just want everyone to have a great time!
Did Italy April 2005. Venice is fabulous! On your next trip try to make it south to Positano! All I can say about the Amalfi Coast is ahhhhhh.....
Have fun in the wine country! Try a glass of Brunella if get the chance while in the region!

next trip is to Italy as well. 95 days to la dolce vita! we've got our flights ready via Aer Lingus but there are talks of an strike (I'm not too worried about it yet). Hotels within the next couple of weeks. This will be our first time in italy and we're looking forward to all the sites, food, gelato, and wine. We're planning the following: Rome, Naples, Florence, Chianti region, Venice, Lake Como.
