Thanks to all for the info. We will definitely take the FM1 -- not the Leonardo Express (we took that last time when we stayed nearer to Termini).
As for luggage, we are experienced travelers, and we'll only have a rolling carry-on and an underseat...we NEVER check luggage when flying anymore...so that will not be an issue.
Off topic...any suggestions for cheap eats in either the Jewish ghetto area or across in Trastevere?

The FCO web site refers to it as the FM1, but I've seen other sites listing it differntly.
