Corfu or Crete?
My husband and I have an opportunity this July to take a side-trip out of Athens for several days. Last year, we explored Santorini and enjoyed every minute of it. This year, we're torn between Corfu and Crete. Both seem great, but what are their main distinctions? Our priorities are peaceful rest and relaxation, some varied activity and good food. Which would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

Crete: very large, good for exploring and historical sites. The town of Chania is beautiful.
Corfu: small, very green, beautiful scenery. Corfu Town is wonderful to walk around. The north east of the island is very tranquil. Look at the agni taverna site to get more info about Corfu. (Search for agni taverna). Kassiopi is a lovely place to stay in the north east but there is lots of info on the site.
