Convenient travel schedule
I shall be visiting Madrid in mid september and from there I have to visit Santiago De Compostela, Porto, Sevilla, Malaga , Alicante and back to Madrid in the beginning of October for business purpose. Please advice me regarding the most convenient as well as economical travel schedule (by bus or train).

I see that you are new here - - how did I know that? click on your own name (this is one of the numerous useful tips that Fodors fails to tell you when they send you that first e-mail confirming your registration) - - I'll assume that you have also not taken the time to read the "HELP" (little tiny red letters in the upper lefthand corner) - - another oversight that Fodors fails to recommend to you to do.
Anyhow, you owe it to yourself to take a look there: http://www.fodors.com/forums/faqs.cfm - - especially http://www.fodors.com/forums/faqs.cfm#Q6 - - which I have listed below, in excerpt form, for you (my own emphasis added):
=========================
Finally, create a title - make sure it is concise and clearly describes your message (<b>and destination</b>, if applicable) -- and write your message in the space provided
==========================
Thus, when you re-post - - and you really <b>should</b> do that - - be sure and mention <b>Spain</b> in your message header.
Best wishes,
Rex

There is very good rail service (RENFE) Madrid-Santiago & vv, Madrid-Alicante & vv, and Madrid-Sevilla & vv. It looks like you may be in the market for a Tarjeta Turistica (SpainPass or IbericPass). Porto is a whole 'nuther story: There's 1-train daily from Vigo to Porto (buy First Class). Porto-Lisbon has the (3-hour) Alfa Pendular and Lisbon-Madrid is the Luisitania Express (overnight).
I've taken the Tren Internacional from Vigo to Porto twice (that's why I say buy First Class). It's like a Regional Rail commuter train and it takes about 4-hours. More info http://www.cp.pt
There are Bus Services along all those routes also. Last year I flew SpanAir & Air Europa to & from Madrid-Santiago de Compostela. I flew into Madrid and went directly to Santiago's Lavacolla airport . It was not expensive.
