Comfort Inn Kensington London

Just posted re: Quality Inn S. Kensington, then I found the Comfort Inn Kensington on Cromwell which looks like a better option. The rate is 63L per night and it has a/c which is a "must" since we sweltered last time we were there. Is this a decent choice for a hotel? Thanks.

I just got back last week, stayed at the Holiday Inn Forham Kensington on Cromwell rd The rooms were not that small and it did have A/C. Had a great view of London and its right next to the tube . Would stay there again

Where did you see the 67 GBP rate? I looked at three websites & 95 GBP was the lowest. Their own website was 120+GBP. This was for October.

I booked it from Travelocity this morning for 63.75 GBP. I don't think it includes breakfast but that's not a big deal to me. I think it's a rate for when it's close to when you're going though (stand by rate)-we're going in about 3 weeks. It wasn't one of the guaranteed rates either so you can cancel without penalty.

The best rate I can find for Holiday Inn Forham Kensington is 130 GBP. It's right near where we stayed last time and it is a great location. I'll keep on eye on it to see if the rates go down as I'd prefer that location. If you have a good booking site, please share.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn Kensington in '97. My room was small (as others I've had throughout London), but air-conditioned! It can be hot in summer so I appreciated an a/c room after lots of walking and touring all day. Room was recently renovated, clean and comfortable. The Earl's Court tube is a few blocks away, the Airbus from Heathrow has a stop nearby. Definitely good value.

Thanks Andrea, just the reassurance I was looking for. A small room doesn't bother me since we're typically not in it much.

Try priceline. Each time(3 different times) I picked a different neighborhood, depending where I wanted to stay, and a 4 star hotel, and got Thistle as low as $70 and only as high as $75.00. That's about 50 GBP.
Their rooms are usually good sized with nice bathrooms, AC, and the locations can't be beat.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Kensington in November 2000. We had a double room and my mother in law had a single. The single room was perfect for one person our double room was small, no closet, but we weren't in it too much. Earls Court station is about a long block away. Would stay there again.

Well, I just tried Priceline and I got a 4 star hotel in Kensington (Copthorne Tara Kensington) for $75 plus taxes! I checked the hotel's website and the cheapest room is 106L, roughly $160. Thanks for the suggestion, I haven't thought about using Priceline as I was worried that I'd get stuck somewhere.

I stayed there a couple years ago and my room was right up front on the road but still was pretty quiet and best of all my room had a bathtub. The staf was very helpful and as a single female I felt quite safe walking the neighborhood after dark. The bus stop was just down the block and the tube was about 2 blocks away. I booked based on price and was very pleased.
