Cobh or Kinsale

I will be visiting both Cobh and Kinsale, but can't decide which one to choose for staying overnight. Which one has more to do? Which one do you like better, ambiance-wise, scenery, etc?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Stay in Kinsale. Lots to do & see. Cobh is a very nice/quaint town for a 2-3 hour visit on your way to Kinsale.

I agree with Budman.

Kinsale is also noted for good food.

Wow, ok then. Anybody else? How's the drive from Cobh to Kinsale? Scenic I would imagine. Congested?

When you leave Cobh, make sure you stay away from Cork. Take the 2 minute ferry to the West of the Island across the River Lee then head South. It's not a bad drive and really not congested.

We're planning on leaving Adare and traveling to Midleton to see the Jameson distillery then to Kinsale for 2 nights. It sounds as if stopping in Cobh on the way would be a great idea...is it?
