Chur to Innsbruck train issues?
Hi,
I'm planning on traveling, by train, from Chur, Switzerland to Innsbruck, Austria in about 2 weeks. Anyone know what the status is of the trains? I haven't been able to find a site online thats keeping updates of the different rail routes. Any advice or a website to look at would be most welcome. Thanks!

The reference library of a city near you may have the Thomas Cook European Rail Timetable. Tables 520, 534 and 951 show your trains. All but the 0808 and the 1716 have restaurant cars.
Chur 0808, Sargans 0828 to 0837, Innsbruck 1121
Chur 0916, Sargans 0939 to 1037, Innsbruck 1327
Chur 1316, Sargans 1339 to 1437, , Innsbruck 1921
Chur 1716, Sargans 1739 to 1837, Innsbruck 2121

I assume you're speaking of floods and washouts due to recent torrential rains - if tracks are out there is always it seems a bus substitution so you'll get there - unlikely in two weeks to have any problems on this major rail route. Maybe Austrian rail website has info.

Yeah, I was concerned about the floods. Have been trying to check the official Austria train website, but it's only in German (or at least I seem to only be able to access the german page.) Unfortunately, I'm not fluent in german. If it was in italian or spanish I'd have a shot at it.
I did see an article mentioning that the leg from Buchs to Landeck was closed and there were sporaic buses running. However, that was from almost a week ago and haven't found any more undated info. Thanks for advice!

The Austrian Rail web site is currently down, but I found a cached page from Aug. 30 that indicated that rail lines are closed west of Landeck, and service is not expected to be restored for four weeks. Substitute bus service has been set up, while passengers between Salzburg and Switzerland have been re-routed through southern Germany at no extra cost.
I advise you to inquire at the train station in Chur as to the best way to get to Innsbruck.
