Can someone tell me if we should book our train tickets beforehand? We are going from Rome to Bologna on Sept. 17th. I tried to book online but you need a user id and password. I applied for one on Sunday and they still have not e-mailed me. If anyone can give me a user id and password I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

For some reason people with aol email never seem to receive their trenitalia id/password. The best thing to do is get a free email address from yahoo or hotmail and try again.

If you'll be in Rome a few days before you'll be going to Bologna, you should be able to easily purchase those tickets at the Rome train station.

AOL filters out your password response because it appears to be a bulk mailing.

Open an account at www.yahoo.com or www.hotmail.com and it will work.
