choosing a hotel in the 6th in Paris

I'm going to Paris in July and would like to stay in the 6th in a relatively nice hotel. Thinking about Relais Christine, d'Aubusson, or Madison. any thoughts? Other similar hotel suggestions?

thanks.

Wow, reading the reviews on each of these hotels it doesn’t look like you can go wrong with any. I’ve stayed in the area but in an apartment and really enjoyed it. Maybe others on here have stayed at these properties and can make a recommendation. Should be a great trip no matter which you choose!

I haven't stayed in any of those but they all look nice, all have good reviews, are in a good location, are within walking distance of a Metro station and have AC. Take a "walk" around google maps to get a sense of the surroundings. Enjoy!

I've stayed at the Madison a few times, but they were before the renovation. I liked it and staff quite a bit and thought the location was excellent.

Considering the Hotel Madison, glad to read the good reviews.

We stayed at the Madison in September and were very pleased. Our lovely room was on one of the higher floors with a view of the cathedral and a small balcony. The hotel is set back from the boulevard so noise wasn't a problem, though being on a higher floor probably helped too. The breakfast was varied and quite good, the staff was very helpful and the location can't be beat. And, there's access to a washer and dryer, which was great. You didn't ask but I highly recommend Cinq Mars for dinner.

We have stayed at The Madison many times. Great location, staff, and breakfast. Just make sure you get a room overlooking the street.

I would prefer the Relais Christine as it is set back in a courtyard and not on a main street. They also have a lovely bar/lounge area to get a drink and relax, I often used it even when I am not staying here.

Our favorite hotel in Paris is Relais Saint Germain. https://www.hotel-paris-relais-saint-germain.com/en/ It is very conveniently located. The staff is very nice. The restaurant is great. The rooms come with a very good breakfast as well.

Yowzer! I've never paid anything close to that before. The rates were good for my possible dates. I need to look again!

Canaves Oia is worth that price. Not l'Abbaye, no matter how much I love it.

starrs, I see prices jump from mid 300s to almost 600s depending on dates. We are paying a lot in April at Hotel Madison.

We loved the Madison on our 3 stays, the last of which was after a remodel. However, let me recommend a charming hotel not unlike the Madison except for the prices: the hotel Mansart. It's in the 1st, near the Place Vendôme and within easy walking distance of the Louvre, among other attractions. We've stayed there a number of times and really like the ambience and location.

Thanks, starrs but we don’t go to Europe, with the exception of Scandinavia, in the summer months. May, June, September, October and one Christmas/ New Years.
