Choice of Marriott Hotels in Hamburg

I would like to book a hotel in Hamburg, Germany using my reward points. I notice that there is a Marriott and a Renaissance that are fairly close to one another. Does anyone have any experience with these two properties? Thanks.

I've stayed in both hotel twice, they are about the same in quality and age/wear & tear. I have a slight preference for the Renaissance, but not much. Both hotel have different types of rooms, some renovated some not. Their locations are within a copule of blocks from each other.

Sorry for all the typos, I accidentally used a self correcting keyboard for a different language, which didn't allow the word " hotels".

The Marriott has an indoor pool if that matters.
The Renaissance's corridors were a disgrace when I stayed there about 2 years ago. The rooms were alright, the shower tube was too short.
The hotels are about a 3 min. walk apart and feature a good location. Apart from that there may well be better Marriotts elsewhere and better hotels in Hamburg for the same price.
