i have made duplicate reservations just so i have something. i will cancel the ones i don't want. everything i've read (tripadvisor.com) about the hotel principessa tea is awful. but it was recommended by someone on this site. weird. hotel julia seems the best, and it's in a good location.

I have not stayed at any of these three, but feel that Ave Roma has the best location - close to the restaurants of Piazza Navona and in one of te quaintest areas o the city. The pictures of the rooms look loely as well.

check Romeby.com The hotel Notti a Roma is fantastic, and cheap. If you go there say hello to Sandro, the owner. My partner and I were there for 2 nights end of March.

We have stayed at the Julia twice and will be there again in May. Good location, close to the subway and an English pub for a night-cap. That said, it is expensive and somewhat spartan, but it seems to be a reasonable value for money in Rome.
