Any ideas on super cheap hotels (especially online)in paris? 2 single girls traveling so safety is a factor too. Is this possible for for 80 euros a night?

lucygirl, I came across a website this morning

http://www.jack-travel.com/Paris/Par..._in_paris_.htm

that had a list of relatively inexpensive hotels-by arrondisement-& with descriptions. I think the prices may be somewhat out of date & therefore maybe understated, but many, if not most of the hotels mentioned were ones I recognized Fodorites recommending.

Citadines are a chain of apartment hotels that are very basic & cheap. Some locations are better (& safer) than others, so check reviews here & on tripadvisor.com before booking.

Be careful about location if you're unfamiliar with Paris. There are many hotels that may look great on the web but are in terrible, out of the way locations or seedy areas.
