Charming, Clean B&B in VIENNA?

Hi Vienna-travellers,

My family is travelling to Vienna next year and are looking for a clean, charming bed-and-breakfast. Prefer if they serve breakfast (does not have to be a super-elaborate, one; patsries and coffee are fine).

Looking for safe location, clean, with personality.

We're not into chain hotels, and "hostels" may be a bit too roughing it for them, but a cute small hotel would be great.

Cheers!

Oh, and if anyone has recently stayed at Pension Lerner in Vienna... please post your comments here. They sound pretty good!

Last summer I stayed at the City Pension (www.citypension.at/en/index.html) and would recommend it. I wouldn't call it "charming" but it was clean, served breakfast, decent price (60 euro single) and most importantly the location was absolutely superb. Two minute walk from Stephansplatz, the absolute center of the old city. You could walk everywhere. But it was on a quiet side street. My room in the back has no view but was very quiet. It has a minifridge, TV with CNN, etc, The hotel is on the second floor of a building with apartments, lawyers offices, etc.

I like the Pension Pertschy, very close to the Hofburg. There are several reviews on TripAdvisor. I thought it very good value for money. I don't remember a great deal of charm but the price, location and nice breakfast made up for that. www.pertschy.com

ISABEL: Quiet is good... convenient location, even better! Thank you. I will look into your recommendation.

CATHINJOE: Will check out your place too... thanks!

JEAN: Definitely UNDER 100 euros a night for a room (for a couple with private bathroom and breakfast) is our target. Cheers!

Hmmmmmm... for some reason, Pension Pertschy's website is not working. Maybe they're working on it? That's my top pick right now...
