I wasn't going to mention my channel crossings because they were all about 30 years ago, but they were summer crossings on the ferry and uniformly rough. I managed to stay prone and not toss my cookies, but easily half the people on the boat were not so lucky. I seem to recall the other half were eating salami sandwiches (one of those vivid details that stick in your mind forever).
