Chamonix, France

Hi there,

I will be trekking Mont Blanc next year. My start and end point is Chamonix, which basically gives me two days there. Do I need more time there than 2 days?

I don't think that you need more than a couple of hours plus eating time in Chamonix; it's all about the setting.

Michael is quite right IMO but having spent many, many days there because our son skis and it is wonderful for that, I can say that putting down in the town and just being there for several days can be quite good as well. It's a cute place with lots of ski related acitivy, some nice lodging and some good food. It's close to Megeve which is an equally or even better Cute ski town. Don't write it off completely depending upon what your interests are and where else you may be going.
