We're probably your parents age so you might want to take that into account. We were there in the summer and had booked 3 nights. Wanted to stay for a 4th, but there was no room available. BUT, that was the middle of summer where there were also lots of fun things to do outside, so I don't know if you'd feel the same way in winter.

A lot depends upon how long you have in total. I'd say 4 - 5 nights in Prague, 3 - 4 in Vienna and 2-3 in Cesky Krumlov giving yourself some time while in CK to get into the countryside a bit. If you don't have a car, you can probably cut the time in CK to one or two nights. You can easily see the city in two days, actually a single full day. But it's wonderful and will reward a longer time spent there. Enjoy.
