Central Barcelona Apartment
Hi,
This will be out first time in Barcelona. Can you recommend a 1 bedroom apartment in a safe area from which we could walk to most sites? How many days would you recommend? What month do you prefer? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance. Joan

Joan:
You can takena look at FISA Rental, their apartments in Carrer Pelai are really good and very well located, you can walk to any place of interest, with the exception, may be of Montjuich and Holy Family, but both are located on the metro.
I will suggest no les than tree full days plus any day trip that can be of interest.
You will enjoy the city, no doubts! We were there last june, if you need any info, please, let me know.

I rented from Habitat, they have a lot of nice ones and the rental process worked pretty well http://www.habitatapartments.com/
I rented one in the Eixemple area which I like and it was convenient to metro and some restaurants but I wouldn't probably say you could walk to most sites from there. Barcelona is pretty big. I agree if you stayed around Pelai that would be a bit more within walking distance to more tourist sites, I think.
I agree with at least 3 days for things in Barcelona, add on days if you want to go outside. Season? Any season is good, it doesn't matter much, it's up to you. Barcelona has a pretty moderate climate due to its location on the sea. I've been in October which was great, and also in July which was also good. Of course it is summer, I like vacationing in summer, but it wasn't super hot there compared to some places in Spain (not like Andalusia, for example).
