Barcelona: apartment for 2-3 night stay?

Hello,
I will be spending 2-3 nights in Barcelona in June and normally would look at hotels but it appears there are numerous Website offering apartments/flats, and I think they are intended for people who stay a week or more but it did not reject me when I requested 2 nights and the prices seemed very reasonable, from 40E/night. Is there something I am missing here?

thanks in advance,
Eric

We have rented an apartment through vrbo (vacation rental by owner) for 3 nights in Barcelona. Considerably more than 40E. We will be there in June so I hope it works out well. It looks great and we paid a deposit through paypal so I feel ok about it. They also have a web site negre bcn apartments. Good Luck...I can't wait Barcelona looks great!

Eric-- Where in Barcelona is your rental apartment located?

Barcelona in June is expensive, so 40E/night for a flat makes me a bit intrigued. There are a lot of experienced people in this forum who have rented in BCN and will tell you flat out if something raises any flags. Please post back with more info.

I looked again and could not see where I saw 40E/night. Maybe it was per person.

Are there quieter suburban areas in Barcelona say 20-30 minutes from the center via public transit or bike that may have hotels with good value?

thanks again,
Eric

most apartment rentals have a minimum of 2 nights, it is unlikely the 40 Euro will be for the whole apartment.
Depending on your group size and when you're goign in June, have a look at www.waytostay.com for apartments. Bear in mind that 19th June weekend is the Sonar Musica festivale and many owners request 7 nights stays over this period.
