Cell phone adaptor question
After 20 trips to Europe, I finally broke down and bought 2 unlocked cell phones to use to communicate with each other on trips. I haven't thought about converters and adaptors in years, because after I bought a European hairdryer, just left them all at home, except the needed plug adaptors for various countries. My question is: to charge my new cell phones do I need just the plug adaptor (I have old kinds that do not include a built in converter), or do I also need the converter? The charger says, "Input: 100v-240v; 50 60 Hz."

Martygnc, I just posted something of this sort. Being a total ignoramus on anything of this nature, I shouldn't be the one to reply. But according to what I've learned, you will just need an adaptor. Do check on what others have posted re iphone and adaptors/converters,

Just to make it clear, the vast vast majority of mobile phones sold today come with dual voltage chargers (input 110-240 volts)....in that case all you need is an adapter plug...your phone would have to be really ancient for it not to have a dual voltage charger...haven't seen any in years.
