CDG to the 7th using RER?
Okay, I know I asked about this earlier but my question is more specific this time.
I am arriving in Paris at 11:10am on Friday, can you please help me with my RER route to Hotel Vernuil in the 7th? The hotel says to get off at Musee de Orsay.
Thanks so much.

Hi jv,
If you go to http://www.ratp.fr/index_eng.htm
and click on "Route Finder" you can get directions from anywhere to anywhere.
You are departing from Roissey CDG.

The English routefinder has been down a while.. the French version works, though.
Musee d'Orsay is on RER-C, which folks are saying is on the portion of the line that is shut down at this time.
The routefinder suggests you take RER-B to St Michel, correspond to Metro line 4 and get off at St Germain des Pres. From there it is estimated to be an 8-min walk (600 meters).

It's been reported that the RER-C line is shut down from Invalides onward in the direction you will be traveling. Check with your hotel to confirm.
If that's the case, I suggest that you get off at Invalides and go up to street level, where there is a taxi rank just outside the Air France terminal, on the east side of the Esplanade (on your right as you face the river). A taxi from there to Hotel Verneuil should be less than €10, easily.
Have a great time.
