oh, well, if that is roundtrip, then I think that is a perfectly fine fare, and a good choice (especially if one likes shuttles).
cecisard -- I don't think I exactly recommended the Caroftel Gobelins as I don't know what it's like. I think I said I liked the area and that it was a good place to stay for location. There was someone else on here who recommended it, though, but I can't recall who.
I would not take the no. 27 bus to that hotel myself (I am not crazy about buses with luggage and that bus can get very crowded and also be sporadic and sparse in schedule), but the directions Robespierre gave for the RER B and then metro line 7 are what I would do.

Hey Christina - your shuttle sugestion was in line with what my wife wanted and I agreed with your suggestion. 76 Euros was for my wife and I to shuttle. I paid so little for the trip other than that and I am tired of round-about cab rides through Paris (sorry Gretchen London cabbies have spoiled us. I give our costs so others may calibrate their expectations. I am excited about this situation now

That's too bad, what kind of wimps are they, it's not that far. In fact, I think it is closer than where I take a taxi to in Montparnasse, because when I do go there, I think those cabs go around the bottom of the peripherique and enter at Porte d'Orleans and then go up to Montparnasse. This is actually farther than where you want to go.
Well, you could try another shuttle, there are a couple, but the cab should be okay (although I don't know how the construction Art mentions could affect that). The location isn't really difficult at all for a taxi driver to get to. There isn't really a single company named Taxi Parisien (BTW that is the correct spelling, not Parisienne), that's just the sign you see on top of official taxis at the airport, but it is really not difficult since you just go out to the taxi queue and there they are if they are legitimate. There is a head of the taxi queue that keeps things in order.
YOu had a couple other options if you are leery of the fare -- RER to Denfert/Rochereau, then taxi, or Air France bus to Montparnasse Tower and then taxi.
