CDG Hotel-No Websites Please
We have to spend the night of 9/18 at CDG since we have an early Delta flight on the 19th.

We want a hotel at or in CDG 2, that is decent and has a restaurant. Please do not send websites. The great benefit of Fodor's is to learn of another's personal experience. I often share mine and appreciate the many kind people that do likewise.

Thanks.

Anthony,

We have overnighted at the Holiday Inn at Roissy-Charles de Galle Airport. They have a very good restaurant and the room (we had a king size bed/non-smoking room) was more upscale than a typical, state-side chain room.

Since you need to stay over on a weekday, the room rate will be higher than the specials you can get on the weekend when all the business travelers have disappeared.

If the Holiday Inn is a bit higher in price than you want to spend, there is an Ibis directly across the street from it. Ibis hotels are the same everywhere in France---very clean, great breakfasts, tiny but functional rooms.

If the Ibis is more in your price range, you can always walk across the street to the Holiday Inn for dinner.

Both hotels are serviced by the same shuttle buses.

The free shuttle buses to many hotels stops right at the station! They loop around the airport and loads of hotels about every 5 minutes.Do NOT stay at the Holiday Inn.I stayed there on August 2,was sent to 4 rooms and gave up,the A/C does NOT work and the windows don't open! The elevator was also broken that day.The only apology was from a young Canadian girl the rest just shrugged and walked off!
PS I complained on my return to USA and got a full refund.

Also looking for a hotel at CDG for last night of trip. Tried www.accorhotels.com & got only in Paris, no airport. Tried http://www.airwise.com/airports/euro...cdg_hotel.html, found none. Help.

Personally, I would get up 45 minutes earlier and leave from a Paris hotel, but I completely understand people who don't care to do that. There is a very nice Hilton at CDG with large, well-appointed and comfortable rooms that I've stayed at. It's attractive, albeit a bit sterile, since once you're inside, you'll hardly even know you're in France -- you'll just be somewhere in "Hilton-world". ;-)
