Just a quick heads up. Someone reported here yesterday that she got the CDG Hilton for 79 USD/night by bidding on Priceline. If you're not familiar with PL, go to www.biddingfortravel.com and learn how to bid.

I hope this is not for a stay in Paris. Being close to the airport is useful only if you plan to sightsee at the airport. (Of course, if you only have an extended layover, an airport hotel is fine—but in that case, why would you need a car?)

Thanks for your replies and yes I am returning the rental car and flying out the next morning. Incidentally, do standard rooms at the airport Hilton have views of the runways or do you have to stay in the executive rooms to get this view. The reason is that I am an aeronautical buff and would love to watch the airport activity if possible.
