ira: How "recently"?

I submitted my claim using option #2 - total number of days out of the country -- vs. #1 flat $25, or #3 actual itemized expenditures.

Hi tomboy; The $336 million you quoted was 'over and above attorney's fees'. Perhaps it has been settled as the website was last updated on December 22nd. This is the web site and time will tell. www.ccfsettlement.com ENJOY Iris P.S. You might be able to bring up a previous post CCF SETTLEMENT that had extensive comments. Plus you could go to this site www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/ccfsettlement.asp

Hi; I hadn't noticed Ira's comment on getting his $25 dollars for 'option 1' an automatic return of $25 dollars with no proof. This option was based on $2500 spent in a week. We filed 'option 2', with 251 days spent in Europe in the 10 year period. That could be challenged and proof required. We don't know what they allowed per week. This option allows 1% per their allowance per week [$2500?.] 'Option 3, requires proof and allows 3% of what is allowed per week times the number of weeks. . So, it seems like that the lawsuit has indeed been settled. If you are now confused, don't worry, so am I. Iris

I spent a heck of a lot of time itemizing my expenses and I still don't have a check yet. I hope it comes soon.

I also chose option 2. I'll report here if I get a check and hope the rest of you will do the same. I spent over 200 days overseas during the allotted time and have the credit card statements to prove it. I just don't throw away anything.

ira - was your check from the Amex suit or the Visa/MC suit? There is a thread in the Lounge where several are reporting receiving their Amex settlements but so far nothing on the visa/MC checks . . . .

Thanks to all of you for raising the questions. I too received a check on the LiPuma class action a couple of weeks ago, (American Expess) for $83 and I dont' recall any paperwork that I did. I did choose the itemized option for the Visa suit and, as others mentioned, have heard nothing yet. Keep checking the website they provided. Good luck.
