I bought a collapsible carryon for souvenirs. After our overseas vacation, we checked our carryons and just kept the one collapsible, purse, and camera bag. The jackets were the most cumbersome, but we were going from rain in the 50s F to 82 F at home.

You have all the advice you need about packing light in the posts above and you're about ready to go!! Yay!!!
I do encourage you, though, to not ignore that if you need to do laundry, look up the nearest laundromat. We have had some great times doing laundry locally, met some great locals and other travelers and it only takes a couple of hours of your time. Do NOT pass that up.
And I add that my favorite bags have 4 wheels and travelers around me with 2 wheels are jealous. I think maybe the poster above should check into another brand of bag!
Have an awesome trip and let us know how it goes! (We'll just miss you, not being in London and Paris until September
