Cardiff Florist
Can anyone recommend a florist in the Cardiff area? I will need to order online or by phone from the US. I looked online but would feel better with a personal recommendation. Thank you.

I use interflora and it does not matter where you book them from they send the order to a local branch near the address. Now I use them alot for my mother who, lives in Thornhill Cardiff and she has always been over the moon with what she gets. There are acouple within walking fistance of my home and I use differnt ones for differnt reasons. It depends on what I am buying them for.
Cardiff area covers a very large area, you might be better off narrowing it down a bit and then people can tell you who they use in that area.

I NEVER use interflora. Yes a local florist recieves the order but they know you are not going to see the flowers and the person you send them to will not tell you if they die the same day.
My brother once sent flowers to our mother for her birthday using interflora, I happened to also buy her flowers at the time i lived in the same town as my parents he was 400 miles away. When he got to my parents 2 days later the flowers he had sent were dead, the ones I sent were still alive. I'd also got a nicer and larger bouquet for less money.
I know a similar thing happened to a friend, she sent flowers to her mother who was in hospital and went to visit a couple of days later and found the flowers substandard.
If I send flowers to my mother or grandmother I use a florist local to them and say I will be visiting but I want the flowers to arrive the day before so they know (or think)I will see the flowers. If I'm sending flowers to other people than I use tesco http://direct.tesco.com/flowers/
One last thing - you mentioned you may be sending them to a hospital, if it is a high dependency unit or ICU then flowers may not be allowed - but you can send other things via mail order - i sent a soft toy cat to one friend when I couldn't send flowers because she was in intensive care.
