Cardif - directions

Is the city centre within walking distance to the Millenium stadium?

Cheers

Yes, the Millennium Stadium is right behind the main shopping area.

Anyway if you are there for a major sporting event many of the city centre roads are closed( unless you happen to me a mounted policeman)and so you will have to walk.

bellandcel - Are you intending to do a tour of the stadium?
We took the first tour at around 9.30am on a Sunday morning. A relative of mine who lives in Cardiff bought tickets ahead of our visit.
On reflection that was not really necessary as there were only about 20 people in all, but you can never tell with these things.
It's great! Got to sit in Queen Elizabeth's seat - quite by accident!

On our trip to Cardiff, we stayed at a great guest house called Austin's hotel across the river from the stadium. Here's the link to the hotel if you want to see more about it.

And here was the view from our room:

It was about a five minute walk to Cardiff castle from here (the hotel) and about 10 minutes to the city center and the bus/train station.
