Car service recommendation from LHR to London

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a car service from LHR to London? Last time we traveled to London, which is 5 years ago now (YIKES), our driver never showed up. Just looking for a reliable service that will show up and take us to our hotel. Pretty simple. We're a party of 2 arriving on December 2 at 07:10. There's a total of 2 large suitcases + 1 small suitcase.

Thanks in advance.

Justairports. About the cheapest and very reliable (I've used them many times)

Addison Lee is also very good but more expensive.

ps: When booking tell them two suitcases. A rollaboard isn't considered a suitcase for booking purposes and if you tell them three bags they will charge for a larger vehicle.

Thank you both for the quick response. It seems like all car services get such terrible reviews.
It's one of those things where I never feel good about whatever I'm booking. LOL

Another endorsement of Just Airports - have used them multiple times in London and always been quite pleased.

I also use Just Airports. Lastly in June. Probably used them over 25 times.

Re: the Just Airports service: Since the ride is prepaid, it is customary to also tip on arrival at your destination? If so, how much, percentage-wise?

No need to tip - but in reality I usually do give a small one. £5 is more than adequate for a 1 or 2 passenger journey into central London. If it is a larger group/larger vehicle/longer trip -- then £10 or more depending on the total cost. I usually choose the option to pay in cash on arrival so adding an extra £5 is no big deal ( don't tell the Brit Fodorites I tip )

Other family members and I have now used Blackberry Cars for several transfers to/from LHR. All went well.

Blackberry (as well as Addison Lee) are very well regarded/reliable. But both tend to be a bit to quite a bit more expensive the JA

Is JA cheaper than cabs? We’ve only used cabs or Uber but haven’t been since November 2019. My memory was that Uber was much cheaper than cab.

Absolutely! Just Airports can easily cost half of a Black Cab fare, especially since it is a flat rate and there is no extra cost due traffic congestion . . . And I will never (ever) use uber in London. I often use a black cab around the city buy not in from LHR.
