Car rental one way from Mallorca to Menorca?

Car rental one way from Mallorca to Menorca?
It there are car rental that you can bring car one way from Mallorca to Menorca? We are going to both Mallorca and Menorca in July.
We thought we had to first pick up the car at the Mallorca airport, return the car to the Port of Alcudia, and then go by foot on the ferry to Menorca; however, now I am wondering if it is possible (and not more expensive) to bring the same car and use it during our 2nd week on Menorca before we fly out from there.
Could anyone please advise me about this and reputable companies? Thank you.

Can you take a hire car on a ferry. Usually you cannot.
You will need an IDP and a child seat for the baby. That will cost extra.

Goldcar has a reputation for not having a great customer service. However they have just been purchased by Europcar.Do not expect this to change over night,if at all.
