If you mean twelve days? That's a tight trip. Only the first night in Venice.

You could try flying out of Naples not Rome - but you might get better flight connections out of Rome.

For trains, check the Trenitalia website:

Use "Venezia S. Lucia" and "Firenze S. M. Novella" for the Venice and Florence train stations. Book the trains between Venice, Florence, Rome, and Naples sooner rather than later to get better fares, though once you book they may not be changeable.

You can also try the website www.trainline.eu - seems to be easier than Trenitalia's site though I had no trouble with Trenitalia's website myself. There's also the Trenit app to buy tickets on your phone.

Use the Circumvesuviana commuter train (buy tickets before you get on) to get from Naples to Pompeii Scavi.

If so why are you even bothering with Venice? Half a jet lagged day . . .

Do you have no plans for sightseeing in Venice? Venice is beautiful with a lot to offer. It seems a shame to go there, but not see anything.

You can't really go from Venice to Florence, then do a day trip to CT on the same day. Actually, the CT is a very long day trip from Florence.
Consider touring Florence on the same day you travel from Venice.
In Florence, you do not need a whole day for either the Uffizi or to Pisa.

Trains are great, go usually from city center to city center, Venice, Florence, Rome, etc.

On the Amalfi Coast, you will uses buses or ferries (or hire a driver).

Some of the responses reflect that your post is a little confusing.

Are you immediately departing Venice for Florence, or spending a day in Venice?

Are you locked into your flight plans because of cost savings, etc.?

You can't get from Naples to Pos by train. You would have to hire a driver, or take train to Sorrento and hire driver from there.

Similar reverse route from Pos to Rome: Driver to Sorrento, train to Naples, train to Rome.

Have you been to Italy before -if not spend more time in Venice and Florence and maybe drop Amalfi - can't see it all in one short trip- well...

Short answer, no, this is not possible. The itinerary you've posted makes no sense.

1) Why are you flying into Venice if you're not spending time there.
2) 3 hour train *each way* from Florence to the Cinque Terra.
3) Do you mean Pisa? 1.5 hour train ride *each way*
4) Two nights in Naples? Worth seeing the archeological museum. See Pompeii on the way to Positano. Best to get a driver for this.
5) That's a long day from Positano back to Rome. Why wouldn't you visit Rome after Florence?

Advice: cut out the Cinque Terre and Pisa. Fully eliminate one of the places you've mentioned. Keep three of the following destinations: Venice; Florence; Rome; Naples/Positano. Then focus on exploring those more fully. Less is more!

I guess anything is "possible" but no this itinerary does not make sense. It's all over the place and doesn't allow enough time in any one place. Why go to Venice at all to leave the next day?

Actually, one can get from Florence to Pisa in just under an hour, even by regional train. Florence to Riomaggiore in about 2:30 with changes.

I'm guessing the OP already knew one night in Venice wasn't much. If Venice isn't your priority on a trip to Italy but you are flying and at least want to see it briefly, a single night there is fine.
