Car Rental help?

Can anyone suggest a car rental company. I want to pick it up in Paris at Gare du Nord and return it to CDG. I also want an automatic.

I already checked autoeurope and found one for $356.38 for 6 days but the stick shift one was only $223.79 and that's over a hundred bucks difference so I just wanted to check and see if anyone had any other ideas before I book this one.

Thanks a Bunch

AutoEurope might be your best bet; it gets high recommendations from just about everyone and often has the best prices.

Thanks Underhill..

That seems to be what I am finding, I was just hoping someone had some secret place unbeknownst to me that might be cheaper.

Auto Europe's sister company (Kemwel)
often has cheaper prices at the same location for the same car.

Check it out at: http:www.kemwel.com

In the last year, we have had 5 European rentals. Auto Europe was cheaper three times and Kemwel cheaper the other two. (All comparisons were for the same exact car at the same pick-up and drop location.

You might check out Novarentacar (not sure if that's the right name, but I'm sure you can google it or someone here will know) and if they come up less than AutoEurope, AutoEurope will honor the lower price.

You asked for other ideas, so here's one: Automatics will be more expensive no matter which agency you use. If you have some time before your trip, you could learn to drive a stick shift, save yourself some money, and learn a new skill to boot!

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. Sorry it took so long to respond. I'm deep in the throws of tax season so a very busy time of year with not much time to play with my trip stuff for a couple of weeks.

Betsy,
Learning to drive a stick is not the problem. I already know that but I hate driving a stick that's the problem!! I wish it wasn't such a pain because you are right, I could save a bundle on the rental that way.
But thanks anyway.
